Mission Update!!!!!!!

So this is gonna be a short one but..... I sent my papers!!!!!!! The brethren will be looking at my papers on January 9th then they will send me my call!!!! Then it will be 3-4 months after I get my call that I leave! I am soooooooo excited! Its gonna be a great experience. I know this is the right thing for me to do, and I know I am needed to spread the gospel to those that are waiting for me. Everyone keeps telling me this will be the hardest but most amazing thing I have ever done! I am still excited.....It may be hard but as long as I am doing what I am suppose to be doing it will be ok. Well everyone....the next entry I will be letting you know where the Lord has called me to serve:-) Love you all! Thanks for your support!

Home again, Home again....

So about two weeks ago I decided I am going to move back home. Things have been too crazy trying to work my work schedule out to get home to get things done for my mission. I gave my two weeks notice at work and I will be moving home this Friday.
Its really weird to me because I was thinking about it and I have not lived at home since I graduated and that was 3 years ago.... I really hope things go well and that I don't get too many rules when I move back in. Its really hard living on your own for so long with no rules then going back and having them again.
So if all goes well I will be able to turn my papers in the next few weeks! I am getting more and more excited to go on a mission.

Just another day....

Well I hear that some people want me to write on here. So I decided to lol. Well not much is new with me I don't have much of a life right now as im getting ready for my mission but I try. I just got my wisdome teeth out on the 4th of November and that was the last thing I had to do for my papers so I turned everything into my bishop now just have to meet with the stake pres. I am getting pretty excited! Um... Well thats all I can think of to write. Oh I just bought two new cd's :-) they are Second Hand Serenade and Pink

Its my 21st birthday today! Yay! If anyone would like me to get them alcohol that is 21 let me know lol. Also yesterday I went to my bishop in Grantsville and turned my mission paper stuff into him! So thy are all ready to go woo hoo! I am pretty excited! Well Happy Birthday to me and have a good day to all of you!

Mission Update!

So this last week I got my Dentist and Doctor appointments set up....So that means...After the 21st of October I can officially turn my Mission papers in! The closer things get the more excited I get! So many people ask me where I wanna go and I had no clue but lately I really think I wanna go foreign. So what do you all think? Where will I go? You should all leave your guesses then when I get my call I will let ya know who wins he he! OK well that's all. I will keep updating as the process goes along!

Aw...the joy of music

So as everyone knows, I am sure, I love music and I quite enjoy Musicals....So the other day I was watching TV and a commercial came on..."Cats the musical coming to Capitol theater this week. Tickets only $25". Oh my gosh! So since I was little and my cousin gave us the cassette tape of Cats I have loved it. We even have the movie at my home and I love watching it. So heck yes I was gonna buy tickets for it with it only being $25! So that day I text all my friends to see who would like to go with me. My best friend from High School Amy decided she would go with me. So on Thursday Sept. 18, 2008 I went to the musical Cats at the Capitol Theater in Salt Lake City! It was great! It was a very Interactive play...The "cats" came up and down the isles a lot and danced with audience members. The voices where great and the dancing was Amazing! It was so worth the $25! I am very glad I went and saw it...It was a great experience!

Mission

So yesterday I went and talked to my Bishop in Grantsville and got everything set up so I could start my mission papers! I got alot of the papers done today. It is all an online process. I am pretty excited! There are a few things I think about here and there that are a little scary but I know a mission will be a great experience. I know it will be an honor to serve my church and get the gospel out to those who need to know about it. I know it has been a blessing in my life to be a member of the Chuch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints, and I know it will help other people as they learn about it. I am pretty excited...It will probably be a few months before I get my call but I will let ya'll know where I am going and when. Well thats all.

Emotions

So today has just been one of those days...Ya know when everything just seems to upsets you!? Well sometimes I hate having emotions...and my family would agree(I am a very emotional person). But its times like today that I realize its good to have emotion and let people know how you feel. But since today I have realized what true friends are... I will always stand by my friends and support them through everything they go through. Its friends that don't do those things that are not worth having as friends. If you have a friends that's always mean to you, expects you to do everything for them but will not do anything for you in return, they are not a good friend! Now a person like my best friend Emily is what makes me realize that its worth having friends! She is the best friend I have ever have. W e have known each other for 2 years and she has always been there to support me through everything. We have had our misunderstandings and little fights but no matter what she stays a true and reliable friend! Thank you Emily! and all those who have been there for me my whole life without letting me down. Thanks to all of you that read my blog and deal with my rambling on about true friends or whatever it is I choose to write about that day. Thank you! Love ya'll!

Family friendship's

So I have been thinking about my family a lot lately and have realized how very grateful I am for them. They are there for me through everything, and I know I can tell them anything without them judging me. Also I appreciate them so much cuz ever since I can remember not only has my family been my family they are also my best friends!

When I went out in the world (Texas, College) I realized that not all families are like that. As a matter of fact a lot of the people I talked to did not get along with there families. So I just wanted my family to know how much they mean to me!

I dunno what I would do without them. We sing together, dance together, laugh together, and even cry together. We have been through good times, hard time,and sad times. But we always stick together. So again thank you guys for being so great. I love you all so much.

Being Blond is Over rated

So since I have not wrote on here for a while and I really did not know what to write about I decided to tell ya'll that...I changed my hair color and I love it! Well see it was not suppose to be this dark. We where trying to match my natural hair color and we decided on a dark copper brown...Well turns out it is my natural hair color but it needed to be a little lighter. Hehe... Maybe I should listen to my mom since she knows what she is doing. But anyways I love it and I was afraid to not have my blond hair anymore but having dark hair is more fun anyways. Yay for dark hair :-)

Camping!

So I went camping last night but first I need to tell you my last camping experience before you understand how amazing and exciting this camping trip was for me!

So while I was having my fun times in Texas my friends there invited me and my best friend Emily to go camping with them, and so everyone knows me and Emily are both from Utah so It was weird not camping in the mountains in the first place. But it gets even better, not only where we not camping in the mountains it was a big open field and then we where down in town and asked our friends if they needed us to get anything for up camping and one of the told us to bring charcoal and lighter fluid...So I said why those? and they said to start a fire... yeah they though charcoal and lighter fluid made a fire... I even asked them if they wanted wood and they told us with that stuff you don't need wood. I was so shocked but it was so funny to me that they did not know how to make a fire.

Next they say all they brought to sleep on was a big ol' tarp for everyone! Yeah um... that means bugs crawling all over me and since I was just living in Texas for a few months I did not hall along a sleeping bag or anything and it was cold up there so I ended up sleeping in a car...Which turned out not to be such a great idea after all...It was so cold!

So that is why I absolutely loved this camping trip I just went on. We had people that knew how to camp and start a fire and it was so nice. I love my Texas friends they just have to get the whole camping thing down a little better... those little city slicker. Well that's my shpill today after a long time of nothing so I hope you enjoy.

Home Sweet Home!

Hey everyone sorry it has been at least a week since I last blogged. I am home again!! In Utah! I love it! Its very cold here compared to Texas but its OK. So I have been trying to figure out what to do now that I am home and I decided i'm going to live in Logan! Its a bigger place there and I will be able to have more of a social life. Well that's all I can think of to write but I just thought I would let yall know how good it feels to be home!

Plans Change

So as me and my curretn roomie Emily and her fiance where watching the midnight showing of Narnia thursday night we decided to change our plans...We are coming home tomorrow!!!!! I am so excited except it only gave me two days to pack. Oh man I can not wait to get back to Utah but at the same time I am kinda sad to leave Texas. We had alot of fun this time while we where here and made a lot of friends. But its ok Life moves on and plans change. But I am soooooooo Excited to see my family! I miss them(even though I just saw them at the first of the month). Well thats all and I will continue blogging when I get home to Utah!

Tav vs. Whit

Well Some people call me Tavia and Some call me Whitney... The truth is I have multiple personality disorder.... Ha ha I am totaly kidding! My full name is Tavia Whitney Wilcox Until 8th grade I went by Whitney and starting High School I went by Tavia because there where a ton of Whitney's in my school and so I just thought it would be easier. I love Tavia its such a fun and diff. name! But still a lot of people call me Whitney and I do not mind it at all it just my middle name why would I not like it. So there ya have it the meaning behind my name... Call me whatever ya like I answer to both. Thats all! Hope you all enjoy!

Bucket List

Have you seen the movie Bucket List? If not let me explain what it is...A bucket list is a list you make of thing you want to do personally in your life. Weather it be Fun, Seriouse, or even crazy! So recently I made my very own bucket list so far it only consistes of 7 things but I think they are pretty good and acheavable. so here they are:
1.Go to NY and see a broadway show
2. Learn how to play guitar
3. Kiss in the rain
4. Find my perfect man
5. Own my very own yellow convertable Mini Cooper
6. Go to Europe before im married
7. Get a VIP backstage pass to my fav. band concert
So now you see what it is I suggest you make one yourself even if you think its silly. Because it will give you things to actually try to accomplish instead of just saying "oh I will maybe do that someday". Do it and see what you can get accomplished. Hottness!!!

So today I got to swim and it was actually warm outside! It has been so Hot here! Yesterday it was 90 degrees and today it was at least 80. I love the warm weather! Its gonna be sad going back to the cold in a week. I am moving back to Utah on the 20th of this month. I am very excited to see my family and friends! Well thats all I have for today.

First Timer

Hey everyone! This is my first real blog! We will see how it goes. So I am Tavia. I am currently in Texas working for movie advertising and its sweet cuz I get to see awesome movies before they come out. I just got to do Iron Man and Speed Racer...they where both awesome! Now i'm working on Indiana Jones! So that's all about my job now I will tell ya bout my life and me. I am 20. I grew up in Utah, I have 3 sisters and its an all girl family and I love it. My oldest sister just had the first niece/gandbaby in the family and we all absolutely love her and spoil her to death. I am LDS, and I love it. My fav color Is yellow lol and I have a cat named oliver. I love to sing and do anything with music. That's pretty much it.
